Spend a day learning about coral reef science\, helping fragment coral utilizing Mote’s science to create genetically identical duplicates that grow as much as 50x faster than a natural coral. In water activities may include maintaining Mote’s expansive in-water nurseries\, outplanting on designated reefs\, and earn a certification upon program completion. Activities will be dependent on water and weather conditions. \nAll scuba divers are welcome to join SCUBAPRO and Mote for these restoration events. \nPrice includes a coral restoration workshop\, training on coral fragmentation\, a 2-tank dive and a citizen science card. Note: Scuba equipment rental is not included but can be arranged through the dive shop if joining a group trip or directly with the dive operator if booking independently. Tanks and dive weight will be provided. \nAges: 15+ no exceptions; participants age 15-17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
