Biography:
Jacey’s path to marine ecology began with fisheries on the Great Lakes, continued with her biogeochemistry research on the east coast’s salt marshes, and took root in the tropic’s dynamic reef ecosystems. Following her time at the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences where she researched Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease, Jacey became a divemaster and relocated to the Florida Keys where she joined Mote. She now collaborates in daily coral husbandry, research, and restoration efforts both on land and underwater.
